A Nice Day Outside.

About an hour after breakfast, I decided to step out for some sun. I’m in a nice hotel in a nice city, it would have been a shame to let all the beauty just sit there.

I spent some time by the pool to soak up some sun. I liked how it was windy, but not too chilly, coupled with warm warm warm sunshine. I didn’t swim though.

Some sun. Literally.

FLOWERS AND STUFF. The flowers seen in Tagaytay and Baguio are not thenflowers typically seen in other parts of the country. Flowers here just bloom differently. It’s thr temperature, I believe.

image

Oh, and there are gorgeous pine trees here as well.

The hotel we’re staying at isn’t the typical hotel, like with the big building and all. This is more like a compound with buildings that you can walk to and from. Kind of like  mini-country club?

The view is GORGEOUS! Over there’s the Taal Volcano.

image

I mentioned Sky Ranch on a previous post, and there it is. I haven’t been there, though, because honestly, I don’t want to deal with crowds and everything.

Those giant sphere things light up at night! In 2010, my cousin, Ate Mariesa, and I spent time by the glowy sphere things just taking pictures. They look so strange in daylight, but they’re just goregeous at night.

On a completely unrelated note, the climate here has made my hair behave fairly well. I still walk around with messy hair, but at least it’s not to a point of sheer rebellion. –oh, and yes, I have been very stripe-y during the vacation. For emphasis, green and white stripes.

Don’t believe the timezone on my blog. It’s set to UTC, when I live in the Philippines (GMT+8). In about 9.5 hours, it’ll be a whole new year, can you believe it? I’m glad to be spending it here.

Oh, and yeah..

Pretentious Dinner.

The holidays don’t to much good to my figure. I can already feel myself getting fatter, and fatter, and fatter! Tonight I decided to just order in, and have a light dinner.

image
I wish I could say more about my dinner, but that’s pretty much all it was– a cheese sandwich with a side of carrots and fruit, and a vinaigrette salad.

image
Seriously, the yellow lampshade does wonders for food pictures! My grilled sandwich became like 10 times more satiety-inducive because of the richness of yellow! I initially wanted the Swiss cheese, but I had to go with cheddar due to availability. Still good, though!

image
PLANET PRETENTIOUS? Hahaha! I actually enjoy salads. I don’t eat onions and bell peppers in salads, and this plate was no exception. I was actually hoping for a Caesar dressing, but the vinaigrette was just fine.

It’s really crowded in Tagaytay this time of year. We’re at Taal Vista Hotel, where the Sky Ranch is pretty much walking distance. Of course, it’s a tourist spot, so crowded here and there, I can’t really blame myself for just wanting to stay in. After all, holidays are meant for relaxation, and trust me, there’s nothing about relaxation that involves crowds.

So I’m like.. “Brr.”

Greetings from a very cold cold city in Southern Tagalog!:)

I’m all pictures now, as I haven’t left the hotel room yet. Temperature here’s about 84°F, or 28°C. I’ve been to -0°C before, but I still do find this temperature a bit chilly. Of course, it’s nothing a light jacket won’t fix, but oh well, I’m enjoying it!

image
I’m really glad I brought these! Fuzzy socks with bunnies and polka dots.

I don’t like posting too many selfies. Most of the time, it’s because I can’t ever think of a kick-ass caption. Well.. This just happens to be one of those captionless selfies. Haha.

They say Trail Mix is pretty much M&Ms with obstacles. The secret is out, I actually like the obstacles.

I’ll be here with the fambam until January 1. May the holidays be good to me.:)
